[미국영어] 미국 달러 지폐: Face of US Bill

미국 달러는 $1/ $2/ $5/ $10/ $20/ $50/ $100 단위로 7개 지폐가 있지요.

7개 지폐는 5명의 대통령과 2명의 건국 아버지가 인쇄되어 있네요.

위의 7개 지폐에서 실제 잘 사용이 되지 않는 지폐가 있는데, 바로 $2 Bill 입니다.

달러 및 100달러는 해외여행을 가는 경우에, 큰 돈을 가져가기 위해서 환전하는 경우가 있지만, 실생활에서는 거의 사용하지 않는 듯 하네요.

그 외로, 2달러 지폐는 행운의 마스코트로 주로 수집용으로 많이 취급되고, 실제 상거래에서는 거의 사용되지 않습니다.

반대로, 50달러는 불운이 있다는 미신이 있는데, 그런 이유로도 50달러 지폐도 많이 취급되지 않고, 오히려 100달러 지폐가 선호되는 듯 합니다.
