[ARTICLE] “Mommy Brain” Should Be Celebrated, Researchers Say. 연구에 따르면, 마미 브레인은 축하받아야 한다.
To most people, the term ‘Mommy Brain’ implies forgetfulness and brain fog. On the contrary, studies have shown women intellectual abilities are actually upgraded for the arrival of a newborn. Nuroscientists have turned their attention to the positive changes a woman’s brain goes through during pregnancy toward more optimal care-giving behavior. Mothers get better and better a juggling tasks related to infants and an entire family. The ability to adapt to so many changes and learn a new skillset should be the focus, and not the lapses in memory or other things commonly associated with Mommy brain, the research said
많은 사람들에게, ‘마미 브레인’은 건망증과 뇌흐림(brain fog)을 함축한다. 이와 반대로, 연구에 따르면, 여성의 지적능력은 신생아가 태어날 때 사실상 향상된다. 신경과학자들은 임신기간 동안 더 바람직한 돌봄 행위를 위해서 여성의 두뇌가 겪는 긍정적인 변화로 주의를 돌렸다. 어머니는 아기와 가족 전체와 관련하여여러 일을 동시에 처리하는데 점점 더 능숙해진다.일반적으로 마미 브레인과 관련된 것들이나 기억력 저하가 아닌, 매우 많은 변화에 적응하고 새로운 기술을 습득하는 능력이 주안점이 되어야 한다고 연구진들은 말한다.
