<전치사 Through
> Through 구동사 (phrasal verb)의 용법
기본 개념은 ‘통과’하는 것입니다. 특정 장소의 통과, 사물의 관통을 표현할 때 사용되며, 통신, 어려운 환경의 극복, 일의 완성, 인간관계의 정리등의 의미로 확대되어 사용됩니다. 구동사 용법에 있어서 through와 동반되는 동사들은 움직임을 나타내는 동사인 go, come, pass 등이 주로 사용되고 get 도 흔히 사용됩니다.
* go through : 빠져나가다 / (법안등이) 통과되다 / 조사하다 / 고난을 겪다
– 이 좁은 톨로를 통과하기 어려워 >
It’s hard to go through this narrow entrance.
– 수정안이 5차 투표에서 통과되었어 >
The amendment went through in the fifth vote.
– 경찰이 그의 집을 수색했어 >
The police went through his place.
– 그는 그 기간동안 산전수전 다 겪었어 >
He went through hell during that time.
* come through : (메시지가) 들어오다 / 빠져나오다 / (난관을) 헤쳐나가다

* get through : 일을 마치다 / (전화등으로) 연결되다
– 이 일을 시간 내에 처리할 수 있을 것 같지가 않아요

I couldn’t get through to her.
* be through (with) : 일을 마치다 / 절교하다

* break through : 뚫고 들어가다 / 극복하다
– 시위대가 저지선을 뚫고 들어갔어 >
Protesters broke through the barriers.
– 우리는 드디어 교착상태를 극복했어 >
We finally broke through the deadlock.
* pass through : 통과하다
– 죄송하지만, 좀 지나가도 될까요? >
Excuse me, but may I pass through?
